Drinking tea/The shifting of the season’s light/ Illumines this double autumn.
Approaching the gate / What can I look forward to? / Never mind those thoughts!
Summer to Autumn in 24 hours here; joining friends for tea; such joy, peace and calmness! More focus on making tea; different library this month. Thanks so much!
Listening to water – the moon on the water forms a path I bow.
A coco palm bows in the last of the sun.
i am falling into spring…shedding winter’s bitter leaves…sap rises, but sluggishly…waiting for cherry blossoms
As autumn shuffles in/ Nudging us to shed our leaves/ We sigh—aggrieved/ Yet also relieved
Sharp morning light, cold air sloshing through an open window above my pillow, Autumn is sweeping away the fog of summer heat and announcing itself, the season of clarity.
it’s not a haiku but…Tea and life, life and tea-entwined we enter-this double season of autumn
by Bashô “The harvest moon! Around the pond I wandered all night long.”
A season of transition…a new beginning and promise of more tea with friends…how that warms my heart
Waiting, anticipating/Winter’s bowl, Spring’s blossom/Summer’s cool sounds of water/Content for now holding Autumn’s harvest/Now you: Sit, whisk, give thanks, drink.
What have I to fear / behind the unknown gateway? / Welcome the Unknown!
Full brilliant moon/the horizon is overwhelmed/we are astonished
