Housing Options

If you are coming to the Lama Foundation and wish to stay overnight, below are the housing options that we offer during the summer. Some options are very limited; please inquire with the housing guardian to determine availability.

ISC Rooms ($50-85 sliding scale per night)
Please pay what you are able

Each private room is small but cozy, measuring approximately 7’ x 10’. They all have electricity and either a double bed or two twin beds. These rooms are a 7 minute walk to the central area, and about 4 minute walk to the nearest outhouse.

Yurt Dormitory ($15-$45 per night sliding scale)
Please pay what you are able

The Yurt is a women’s only dorm with 5 twin beds. The Yurt does not have electricity, and it is located 4 minutes from central and a 1 minute walk to an outhouse.

Treehouse Dormitory ($15-$40 sliding scale per person per night)
Please pay what you are able

This building is a small dormitory with four twin beds, two on the main level and two in the loft. Minimal (solar) electricity is available. It is a 3 minute walk to the central area and there is an outhouse immediately outside.

Buffalo Hut ($50-$85 per night, sliding scale)

Sky Hut ($50-$85 per night, sliding scale)

Heiwa Hut ($50-$85 per night, sliding scale)

Ram Dass Bus ($25-50 per night)
Please pay what you are able

Who doesn’t want to sleep in a bus! We have one bus, and while it doesn’t have electricity, it does have unique Lama charm!

Ram Dass Bus – Somewhat further out from the central area, but private! This bus has one full size futon. and the walk to central is about 8 minutes. Outhouse very close by.

Camping (free)

We have beautiful campgrounds; please bring your own tent and find a camping spot that speaks to your soul. Car camping spaces also available.

Please note that all toilet facilities at Lama are outdoor non-flush outhouses. We do have multiple showers, but we ask that you keep showering time to a minimum as water is very precious, especially here in the high desert.
