By air: The nearest major airport is Albuquerque. From the Albuquerque Airport, there are two shuttles that offer service to Lama or the Taos area: Twin Hearts (1-800-654-9456) and Faust Transportation (1-888-830-3410). You MUST reserve in advance and there is no refund for cancelled return trips. It is best to contact the shuttle service before arranging flights as they have limited departure times. The one way cost is about $50.

By Train: The closest Amtrack station is Lamy, NM, near Santa Fe. From the train station, Twin Hearts shuttle (800-830-3410) will take you directly to Lama Foundation. The shuttle service has limited departure times.

By Bus: Greyhound offers service to Taos. Before purchasing your ticket, please arrange for pick-up with the Lama Foundation registrar.

By Car: Go north of Taos on NM highway 522 north from Taos or south from Colorado. Look for the small green “Lama” township sign which is just before our turnoff, immediately north of the 15 mile marker, or about 4 miles south of Questa. Turn east (towards the mountains) on Taos County road B-014, drive over the cattle guard and follow the signs to the Lama Foundation, about 4 miles of dirt road. Please drive slowly on the dirt road.

DURING WINTER MONTHS THE ROAD IS OFTEN IMPASSABLE AND 4-WHEEL DRIVE IS NECESSARY. PLEASE CALL US AT 575-586-1269 FOR DETAILS ON ROAD CONDITIONS
