Natural Building Apprenticeship 2007
About the Teachers

Steve Kemble:
Steve has fifteen years experience designing and constructing natural buildings, and regularly teaches and consults in North America. His company, Sustainable Systems Support, has produced two landmark videos on straw bale construction. He is also an African drumming aficionado.
Mollie Curry:
As a 10-year resident of Earthaven Ecovillage in NC, Mollie has honed her natural
building, permaculture, and teaching skills. She is a knowledgeable, supportive teacher
who will help you integrate your head, heart, and hands through the building process.
Mollie honors all aspects of our being--physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. She
loves to help people deepen their connections with Earth, others, and themselves.
Serious beautiful mud-play is her natural building specialty (cob, plasters and paints,
shaping)!
Austin Babcock:
A 4th-year Lama Foundation resident, Austin has been doing natural building since 2002. He is project manager for the Cottage Industries Building, and gets a little more covered with mud each year.
He loves the outdoors and music.
