Build Here Now! 1999 was professionally documented. A video is currently in production which will attempt to convey the meaning and intent of this joyful and hopeful event.

This dome, spared by the fire, was the hub of activities. The opening ceremony was in the dome; the days began and ended in the dome; and at the end of the week, the closing ceremony - by turns touching and funny - was in the dome.

A limited number of beds in two dorm-style yurts were available. Most people opted to camp in the woods, enhancing their stay in this beautiful place. (Lama is on a mountain, and it gets chilly at night; if you come to next year's Build Here Now!, bring a good sleeping bag, or two crappy ones, and/or someone to snuggle.)
