Lime Plastering with Bob Campbell
July 5-7
$75-$100 Sliding Scale

Lime plaster is also known throughout the world as "white wash", and is the most durable of natural plasters. Lime is mold-resistant, erosion-resistant, and provides long-term protection when covered with a protective lime-wash sealant. This is the natural building alternative to stucco. This workshop will focus on lime-plastering recipes, techniques, and is ultimately geared towards empowering participants to go home and get liming. The teacher, Bob Campbell, is a lot of fun, and is a very skilled plastering teacher.

Bob Campbell began plastering in Glasgow, Scotland 24 years ago and, in the early 1990s, he became involved in earthen plasters and alternative building. Since 1998 he has owned The Boulder Plaster & Stucco Co. Inc., which allows him to provide high-end and sustainable interior plasters to his clients. His relationship with Lama began with Build Here Now 2001 and he has taught plastering at all subsequent Build Here Now convergences. Bob’s knowledge of lime, earthen, gypsum, Venetian and ornamental plasters is extensive and he is passionate about teaching others the art of plastering in a light-hearted and productive fashion.
