Build Here Now Archives A participant-written article about the 1999 event
The Natural Building and Permaculture Convergence “Build Here Now!” started in 1999 in response to the 1996 Hondo fire which destroyed 95% of the surface vegetation and 22 out of 29 buildings at the Lama Foundation. The name of the convergence is based upon the Ram Dass classic book “Be Here Now” which was written at Lama in 1970. Catherine Wanek of the Black Range Lodge created this wonderful event. Thank you Catherine!! Here are some beautifully prepared archives that can walk you through the BHN experience. Click on any of the below links to tour. Click on the “EXIT” button at the bottom of the photo tour pages to return to this page anytime. Enjoy!! |
