Stoking The Sacred Fire: A Camp For Youth Ages 18-29

With Lucas Sego, Meredith Mason and other Members of the Lama Community

August 2- 6 cost: $180- $360, Sliding scale Partial scholarships may be available.

In its second year, Stoking the Sacred Fire will be an opportunity to step out of ordinary life and into sacred space: to look at the stories and cultural messages that we have been living; at what has challenged us; ways in which we have given our power away and ways to reclaim it.

An opportunity to explore through small and larger group discussion; exposure to various spiritual traditions through Lama beloveds who are steeped in them, hiking and quiet, reflective time on the land; sweat lodge and other ceremonial offerings; creative and collaborative arts-- music, dance, drumming, storytelling, dramatic enactment, journaling; spiritual practices in various traditions; shared meal preparation, clean-up and work on the lland; our connection with inner guidance; with others, with community, and with the earth, the unique gifts that we have come into this life to offer; the value of witness, of spiritual practice and service ; and to envision, alone and together, ways of offering out stewardship of Life and to the earth.
